About Us

Img13.jpgDaisy and Lincoln are both retired and living in Singapore, America and Indonesia. We visited a kelong on Pulau Tunjuk with members of our church small group in 1997 and enjoyed interacting with the locals especially the children. We made frequent trips and with each visit, we taught songs, words and greetings in English.

Our children are grown up and live in UK, Singapore and USA, all with families of their own. If I told you the number of grand children we have, it will give away our age.

That is a quick and short background on how we began the teaching Ministry.

Today, we no longer teach but depend on our Indonesian teachers do the teaching.

Our teachers are young (in their twenties) Indonesians who are graduates of Bethany School of Missions. Committed to the Great Commission, they left home and family to give a few years of their lives to be "labourers" in the field. They live by faith and put their trust in the Lord. We support them with the profits derived from operating the kelong. Here they find shelter and companionship – a home away from home.

The kelong also provides work and food for the villagers. It is not uncommon for villagers to visit Bluemountain hoping for an odd job and a meal. That they have hope is encouraging and a blessing to all of us at Bluemountain.

We have made many friends amongst the sea tribe and seen many children grow better prepared for the challenges of the region. Some Singapore friends have sponsored children to attend Junior High (eventually High) school away from home. We look forward to more sponsorships and more education for this secluded part of Indonesia. FOR S$1/day, YOU TOO CAN BE A SPONSOR OF A DESERVING STUDENT. SIMPLY CALL OR EMAIL ME.
